About Make-A-Wish Michigan
Make-A-Wish Michigan began in 1984 when Joshua, an 11-year-old from Tecumseh, wished to go to Walt Disney World® Resort. Fourteen other courageous children experienced the joy of a wish in that first year. Today, Make-A-Wish Michigan grants wishes to hundreds of Michigan children annually, granting more than 12,500 wishes in its history. Our goal in 2026 is to grant over 500 wishes.
The mission of Make-A-Wish Michigan is elegantly simple: We create life-changing wishes for Michigan kids with critical illnesses. Our vision is to grant a wish for every eligible child in Michigan.
Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
