There are approximately 20,000 children in foster care in Illinois.
More than 74% of children enter foster care due to neglect caused by poverty, mental health issues and substance abuse disorder.
By addressing the root issues that cause families to become unstable in the first place, we can PREVENT the trauma that occurs when children are removed from the only family and home they know and placed into foster care. We help parents and caregivers to recognize their strengths, normalize their challenges, and learn new skills that promote the safety and well-being of everyone.
