Through strategic partnerships, a flagship fundraising event, and growing momentum across science, medicine, and consumer health, Countdown is bringing cellular energy — and mitochondrial science — into mainstream conversations around health, aging, performance, and disease.

But building a future where mitochondrial health is central to how we understand, prevent, and treat disease will require greater investment and awareness. Despite mitochondria’s role across nearly every aspect of human health, mitochondrial science has historically received less than 1% of philanthropic funding.
