Emily Capisciolto is a photographer, visual artist, and pediatric oncology nurse whose creative journey began with a Make-A-Wish gift—a DSLR camera and laptop—that helped launch her career. A cancer survivor and Midwest native now living on the Washington coast, Emily has spent over a decade capturing weddings, families, and surf culture. Her work is rooted in emotion, connection, and gratitude for the wish that changed her life.
Cheryl Haithco is a Michigan-based artist who began expressing emotion through drawing as a child and has explored various creative mediums throughout her career. After studying art at Mercy College, she worked in jewelry design with local jewelers before spending nearly two decades in nonprofit fundraising. Her return to painting has led to numerous juried exhibitions, including the Birmingham Our Town Art Show and Farmington Spring Art Exhibit. Her work has been displayed in galleries, libraries, and hospitals across Metro Detroit and is part of the permanent collections at Henry Ford Health Systems and Beaumont Hospital.
Troy Murray a.k.a. TYP is a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist with 10+ years of experience, who splits time in both metro Detroit and Los Angeles home. He works in a variety of mediums, typically blending painting with fabrication and 3-dimensional elements. Troy’s aim when creating is to showcase deep, thought-provoking experiences for the viewer, utilizing detailed elements as a subtle way of story-telling. After finding art as a way of staying busy while getting sober and turning his life around, he has developed an obsession with learning and progressing in his craft. The opportunity to highlight the possibility of overcoming struggles through his practices is the key driver to this passion.
Heather Kelly is a mixed media artist and educator based in Michigan whose work explores themes of motherhood and women's roles in society. She blends traditional techniques with modern technology to create striking, thought-provoking pieces. Heather holds degrees in Fine Art and Art Education, including an MFA from Vermont College. Her work has been featured in galleries across Michigan and beyond, earning awards such as second place in the Michigan Fine Arts Competition and the Our Town Exhibition. She currently teaches visual arts at Troy High School.
Meg Loeks is an international award-winning portrait photographer based in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where she lives on a hobby farm with her husband and five children. Her work is rooted in classic Americana and domestic life, but not the polished ideal. She leans into the mess and the beauty, the humor and contradictions of home, using color and nostalgia not only as aesthetic choices but as tools to challenge the status quo. Meg’s love for photography began in childhood, hand-developing film in a darkroom. Though she initially pursued a degree in advertising and public relations, she returned to photography in a deeper, more personal way after becoming a mother. It became her way of reclaiming time, space, and story. Today, Meg teaches workshops throughout the U.S. and internationally, encouraging artists to find their voice in the everyday. She is honored to serve as an Imagen, Sigma, and Profoto Ambassador, as well as a 2022 Lightroom Ambassador. She also volunteers with The Gold Hope Project, offering portraits to families facing pediatric cancer.
