Cotton’s signature raw aesthetic work spans contemporary portraiture, abstract painting, and text-driven prose, with his visual vocabulary evolving over time. Deeply influenced by his early exposure to block, offset, silkscreen, and commercial printing techniques from his family’s printing company, Cotton incorporates these methods into his art, using wheat pasting, paper collage, and large-scale Xerox prints. His work is now found in numerous galleries throughout the US, as well as in luxury hotels, corporate headquarters, and private residences. The original 48x60” Frida is a mixed media painting on canvas.
